TDM traffic transfer by IP/MPLS/ETHERNET network
RAD's pseudo-wire gateway family includes the Gmux pseudo-wire gateway for central sites, IPmux pseudo-wire gateway, VMUX voice trunking gateway. These devices support transparent circuit emulation over Ethernet, IP and MPLS networks. The Vmux offers voice compression for voice trunking applications.
Pseudo-wire technology enables service providers to migrate their revenue-generating legacy voice and data services to cost-effective packet-switched transport networks, minimizing capital expenses and operating costs. Enterprises can take advantage of new Ethernet-based service offerings to also run voice, video and legacy data over the packet-switched network, without having to incur additional costs as a result of forklift upgrades to CPE and PBXs or staff retraining.
